The Event Producer plays a critical role in supporting the Event Directors to deliver exceptional events for Dish Food & Events, a premier catering and hospitality provider. This position works closely with sales, culinary, and logistics teams to coordinate event details, manage client communications, and ensure flawless execution from planning through event day.

The Event Producer helps maintain smooth event operations and outstanding client experiences. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BRING:

  • 2–5 years of experience in event production, client management, or operations within the catering, hospitality, or events industry
  • Proven ability to coordinate and execute multiple high-touch events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and client satisfaction
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage timelines, vendors, and client communications in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience building and nurturing client relationships from event planning through successful execution and post-event follow-up
  • Deep understanding of event logistics, hospitality operations, and the New York City catering and events market
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable liaising with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth event delivery
  • Proactivity and collaboration as a team player, adept at cross-functional problem-solving and adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Familiarity with event management software, CRM tools, and other platforms used to track event details and client information
  • A genuine love for hospitality, events, and creating memorable experiences that leave a lasting impact on clients and guests

RESPONSIBILITIES

SALES + EVENT PRODUCTION

  • Work in tandem with the Event Director, operations and culinary teams to ensure near-flawless event execution + client satisfaction.
  • Provide the best possible customer service to Dish clients while ensuring the successful planning and execution of Dish events from start to finish. This includes but is not limited to responding to emails and client calls in a timely fashion, scheduling meetings with clients and venues, assisting Event Director with proposals, writing menus, preparing production/equipment orders, BEO’s, invoices, staffing events with Hospitality Director and creating event paperwork such as timelines, floor plans, etc.
  • Work with the Operations, Culinary and Hospitality departments to ensure events are correctly prepared for, staffed and executed.
  • Strive alongside the event director in prospecting and outreach to new and existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the Dish brand and drive growth.
  • Work on site at events on an as needed basis as the planner. Nights and weekend work will be required.

FINANCIAL

  • Collaborate with all departments to drive high profitability and meet or exceed company profit goals.
  • Partner with the accounting department to ensure accurate financial billing, reporting and collection of accounts receivable.
