Data Engineer

Kasheesh is the first and only product that lets consumers split their payments across multiple credit, debit, and gift cards. Having already launched a mobile app, extension, and web application, Kasheesh will continue to expand its offerings to support customers wherever and whenever they need to make payments. We’ve also launched our patented Smart Split technology, helping consumers make the right financial decisions to help keep their credit utilization and potentially improve their credit score

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our rapidly growing engineering team.

Duties

• Help scale the company’s proprietary database and build data processing and validating pipelines.
• Implement data security, authentication and access management measures of the company’s proprietary database.
• Apply knowledge of computational and data manipulation packages as well as Relational Databases and Database Design.
• Build and maintain ETL processes and apply knowledge of cloud computing and storage services.
• Help implement and build recommendation systems that improve our product and user experience.
• Collaborate with the Software Engineering, Product and other functional teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field and 2 years of experience in the position offered or related.
• Must have 1 year of experience with the following: working with Python, SQL, Java, C/C++ and Javascript;
• Must have 1 year of experience working with relational and non-relational databases including Postgres, MongoDB, Data modeling and database designing;
• Must have 1 year of experience working with Cloud service platforms including AWS and management tools including EC2, S3, Lambda, and IAM;
• Must have 1 year of experience building, optimizing and maintaining high performance ETL pipelines and applications from scratch;
• Must have 1 year of experience working with data visualization tools including Plotly and Streamlit and computational and data manipulation packages including pandas, sk-learn, statsmodel, and cvxpy;
• Must have 1 year of experience applying knowledge of basic Machine Learning models including CNN, LSTM, SVM to sentiment analysis functions.

Salary: $126,360 - $135,000/year.
