Social Media Manager (+Content Creation)Location: Primarily remote however you'd be required to visit the Jersey City client location once every other month to capture content.Hours per month: 8-10 with one client to start; opportunity to gain more clients to increase hours likelyPay Range: $40-$50 per hourStart Date: This week!Job DescriptionOur client, a boutique social media marketing agency, is seeking a Social Media Manager with strong content creation experience to support their growing portfolio of multifamily clients based in Jersey City and NYC. To start, you will be given 1-2 clients (approximately 8 hours/month per client), with the potential to take on more accounts over time based on performance and availability. Your first client would be based in the Jersey City area. (if coming from NYC, travel time will be compensated)The role is a true mix of client-facing "account management", social media specialization, and content creation.Key Responsibilities- Visit client properties to gather on-site content (photos, videos, etc.)- Lead monthly planning calls with clients and manage ongoing communication- Create monthly content calendars and write engaging, on-brand captions- Collaborate with internal creative team to direct visual assets (graphics, videos)- Own the content planning and execution process from strategy to scheduling- Incorporate client feedback and ensure timely delivery of all contentWhat You'll Be Creating- 8-12 social media posts per client, per month- One-sheet content plans for client review and approvalWho You'll Work With- Internal account leads who will help set strategy and direction- A dedicated creative team member for all visual content- Direct client contacts for planning, feedback, and approvalsIdeal Candidates- Based in Northern NJ/NYC and available for occasional on-site content capture- Experienced in managing social media accounts for brands or agencies- Comfortable leading client communication and monthly meetings- Skilled in writing, planning, and executing social content- Organized, efficient, and able to manage multiple accounts independentlyBonus if you:- Already manage clients as a freelancer or contractor- Have experience in the multifamily or real estate space- Are looking to grow into managing 4-5+ accounts over timeIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
