Senior Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your accounting expertise to manage key aspects of financial reporting and the month-end close process while supporting the Controller in maintaining accurate and timely financial operations. This position supports the full financial lifecycle of projects and reporting periods, from revenue recognition through final reconciliation, while ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records by preparing Journal Entries and reconciling General Ledger accounts.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles, ensuring prompt and true reporting.
• Ensure revenue recognition compliance following ASC 606; conduct internal reviews of project budgets and vendor contracts.
• Maintain fixed asset and lease liability schedules, ensuring compliance with ASC 842.
• Reconcile and maintain pass through site liability schedules.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and controls.
• Conduct weekly Account Payable check runs.
• Provide internal/external audit support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting required.
• QuickBooks knowledge, preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 5+ years of experience with General ledger reconciliations and month end reporting.
• Demonstrated math skills for use of advanced spreadsheet usage.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to perform in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a verbal and written form to a variety of stakeholders.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
