Holistic Mental Health Counseling ... a practice where you CAN have it all. We are seeking for a bilingual Licensed or Limited Permit eligible Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) (LP-MHC) who value work life balance, who are looking to expand their mental health knowledge and methods, and who are looking to be a part of a thriving team environment. This open position is at our Staten Island Office location (must be willing to do in-person). Experience working with Inner child work , couples or somatic interventions such as , Brainspotting & Internal Family systems to treat patients with anxiety & trauma is a huge plus. We are seeking a Spanish speaking Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Mental Health Counselor who has experience working with children and couples who is Permit Eligible in New York.

• Ability to commute to 10314 within 35 minutes
• $62,000- $92,000 per year
• Starting pay is based on licensure, experience, and level of Spanish fluency. Spanish-speaking ability is a plus and may increase compensation
• Willing to work with children families and couples
• PAID trainings, Flexible Schedule, and earn HOURS towards licensure!
• Our specialities are trauma, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders

Our ideal candidate will be a Mental Health Counselor, Limited Permit (MHC-LP) OR Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) proficient in Spanish who has experience working with children and couples and be able to commute to 10314 within 35 minutes . The candidate should be an organized and professional individual; they should have a strong sense of self, a willingness to learn and grow, and not be afraid to speak their mind on ideas, suggestions and ways to make our practice the best it can be. What we expect of you

As a team member here, of course we expect you to hold up your end of the bargain! Team members are expected to sustain a full caseload, submit progress notes within 24 hours of a session, respond to team emails on a daily basis ( not on Saturdays & Sundays, go have brunch) , keep an accurate record of your active clients and timesheet and maintain an organized calendar. While we provide you with tremendous support, we expect you to be an active part of our team as well. This means engaging in group supervisions, providing feedback to your team members if needed, and being transparent about your needs and your work life experience. Sometimes that means going the extra mile; this is how you can show up for HMH!

Why HMH may not be for you..

Listen, full transparency; this job is not for everyone. While we mentioned what we expect you to do, we should fill you in on what we expect you not to do. Working at another private practice or hopping on board with the intention of not having a full caseload won't work for us. We are all in, when we bring someone onto our team and we expect you to be all in as well. Canceling clients last minute or the day of, not filling out your progress notes in a timely fashion, missing team meetings and supervision, entertaining any drama in the workplace and not following our team policies and protocols are all habits we do not condone. We understand emergencies happen; other than those circumstances, none of the above will be accepted. Communication is key; we couldn’t be offering more support, so use it! At HMH, we have spent a substantial amount of time ironing out our company policies and step by step procedures to ensure you have access to everything you need! So if you’re feeling inclined, staying within these guidelines should be a piece of cake :)

HMH is happy to inform you that we offer competitive rates, as well as paid time off. Depending on your experience, your rate will be determined by our hiring manager. This position will begin as part-time with the opportunity to become full time within 1 - 3 months based on performance. You will start with one patient and build a caseload.
