We are a hip, Williamsburg-based Internet company seeking a Business Development Associate to become an integral part of our Company’s exciting new initiatives. Are you mad about marketing? Insane about the Internet? Crazy about Copywriting? Then read on!
ABOUT THE JOB
We need help creating and managing our marketing initiatives, from outbound email and direct mail campaigns, to our blog and social network presence. More specifically, you will:
Generate new opportunities/leads via calling, emailing, social selling, networking and other means necessary.
Function as a consultative salesperson; accurately convey our software and services to prospective clients as strategic solutions to improve their marketing and sales opportunities.
Qualify leads and evaluate revenue potential.
Reach out to prospects within a horizontal or vertical segment and mine opportunities within this group.
Effectively use the company marketing initiatives and collateral (marketing content, demo's, and other material) and successfully engage new prospects.
Provide additional revenue by always being aware of upgrade opportunities within existing engagements, or new opportunities within a customer's organization
Use Salesforce to record all prospecting activity and account management activity on a daily basis.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have strong marketing and technical skills, and will have experience managing social, direct mail and e-mail marketing initiatives for products and services, as well as for events/tradeshows. Experience with CRM systems/database marketing, and marketing automation platforms strongly preferred. Strong writing and communications skills are a must. Specifically, we are looking for a candidate with:
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience selling/marketing Software as a Service (SAAS) or similar products
Working knowledge of CRMs, Direct Mail Marketing, Email marketing, Marketing Automation and Customer Engagement platforms. Understanding of both B2B and B2C sales and marketing strategies.
Bachelor's degree.
Experience pitching to C-level executives and decision makers.
Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals and overcome obstacles.
Solid prospecting and cold calling abilities and excellent customer relationship skills.
Skillful negotiation and closing abilities.
Exceptional communication, follow-up and customer-ready presentation skills.
Fluency in MS Office and Salesforce.
Passion to learn new technology and join a rapidly growing company.
Fantastic work ethic, collaboration and teamwork skills.
