Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing speech-language therapy services in a dynamic K-12 school setting in Syracuse, NY, this full-time, contract position offers an exciting opportunity for licensed SLP professionals to support a diverse student population. The assignment spans a full school year, with a maternity leave position available from September through December. This role includes itinerant service delivery with paid travel between schools.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New York State SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience in pediatrics and school-based therapy essential
- Familiarity with teletherapy is a plus, though this position does not currently offer virtual sessions
- Ability to work within a caseload model and manage administrative responsibilities
- Prior experience supervising clinical fellows not required at this time
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services across K-12 grade levels
- Provide direct therapy in designated school settings with access to dedicated therapy spaces
- Attend and participate in team meetings, IEP development, and administrative duties during paid indirect hours
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation compliant with district and regulatory standards
Work Environment and Benefits:
