Pilates Instructor - Fully Certified

Inspira Physical Therapy and Pilates in Brooklyn, NY, is a woman-owned and operated speciality office located at 275 4th Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Established in 2018, Inspira PT and Pilates is a holistic physical therapy and pilates company specializing in pelvic floor, orthopedics, and rehabilitation.

Job Summary : We are seeking a dedicated and fully certified Pilates instructor. If you have a passion for rehabilitation and the expertise to guide clients in different stages of fitness through combined movement — join us at our spacious Park Slope location. We provide training and continuing education. Our reformer group classes cap at 6 people.

Pay range: $36.00 - $55.00 per hour

$36/hourly base for class teaching plus bonuses per head. Private lesson teaching rates start at $45. Negotiable depending on experience. Teacher pay rates are at Certified, Senior and Master levels.

Available Shifts: Mondays 5-8 pm, Thursdays 10am-2pm, Saturdays 9am-1pm / Monday Group Class is from 7-8 pm, Thursday Group Class is 11am-12noon, Saturday Group Classes 9-11am, Privates 11am-1pm.

Location: 275 4th Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11215.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client tracking: Progress Tracking, client education, and Equipment Maintenance
• Training: Due to the unique nature of our facility, there will be in-house trainings to stay up-to-date with the client/patient population seen in the office with a focus on pelvic health, EDS/Hypermobility, chronic pain, and dysautonomia.
• Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with clients and staff at Inspira, addressing their questions, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Pilates Group Reformer Classes: Lead group reformer classes ensuring a safe and engaging experience for participants while adapting exercises to accommodate varying skill levels. Training will be provided.
• Pilates Private Lessons: teach 1:1 Pilates private sessions on balanced body Pilates equipment. Incorporate all pieces of equipment.
• Physical Therapy Aide: Work as a physical therapy aide under Doctor of Physical Therapy guidance. This will be custom integrated physical therapy sessions.
• Client Engagement: Foster a positive and motivating atmosphere to keep clients engaged and committed to their Pilates practice.
• Professional Development: Stay current with the latest developments in Pilates and physical therapy, attending workshops, and training sessions, and pursuing relevant certifications as needed.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals on-site, such as physical therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to clients' wellness and rehabilitation.

Experience:

• Pilates instructor: 2 years (Preferred)

Position Requirements:

• Certification: Must hold a valid Pilates certificate.
• CPR Certification: Current CPR certification is appreciated.
• Experience: Applicants must have rehabilitation experience and expertise in pre/postnatal training for in-person private lessons.
• Work Authorization: Must have US work authorization.
