Learn more at stvinc.com . Engineering Operations Manager -Transportation The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operational activities for the New York metro area. Lead New York area efforts to develop and improve operations through efficient and effective integrated processes, implementing common management processes/services to leverage organization resources. Develop operations-related plans and budgets; selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the business unit. Participate in business development activities and negotiate terms of contracts with officers of the client organizations. Initiate and maintain extensive contacts with key professionals and officials of other companies, requiring skill in persuasion and negotiation on critical issues. Maintain high standards of technical, professional, and operational standards of excellence to ensure project success. Reporting to the Business Unit Leader, work with the management team while contributing to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices. Responsibilities: - Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the team as well as coordination and communication between departments.
- Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
- Oversee short and long-term project management reporting.
- Serve as liaison to division in addressing operational activities.
- Provide consulting services on matters related to business structure and growth.
- Ensure project personnel adhere to federal and state regulatory requirements.
- Ensure company policies and quality procedures are recognized for timely intervention and resolution.
- May select, supervise, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree; MBA highly preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Engineering background required, technical understanding of engineering, planning, and construction management for key clients
- Experience in resource management and utilization performance
- Significant experience leading and accomplishing mission critical initiatives to improve operational performance
- Strong communicator and collaborator with senior management team and clients
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Microsoft excel, and database skills required
- Strong time management, organizational, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Experience with BST/Deltek or similar ERP software
