Senior Paralegal
Personal Injury Paralegal - Plaintiff's Side | Long Island, NY
Join a prestigious Long Island personal injury law firm as a Personal Injury Paralegal specializing in plaintiff representation. This full-time, in-office position offers an exceptional opportunity to work alongside top-rated attorneys handling complex personal injury, medical malpractice, worker's compensation, and mass tort cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience supporting attorneys through all phases of the claims process.
Key Responsibilities
- Support personal injury attorneys throughout the entire claims process from initial consultation through resolution
- Conduct initial client consultations and comprehensive policy reviews
- Assess, review, and analyze supporting physician documentation and medical records
- Gather and organize medical records and supporting documentation
- Prepare and submit initial insurance claims and continued proof of loss documentation
- Process No-Fault claims and manage medical record requests
- Draft legal pleadings and other case-related documents
- Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and high-level professionals
- Maintain organized case files and ensure timely completion of all case-related tasks
Required Qualifications
- Previous paralegal experience at a personal injury law firm on the plaintiff's side (strongly preferred)
- Proven experience with No-Fault insurance claims and medical record requests
- Demonstrated experience drafting legal pleadings and legal documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Advanced multi-tasking capabilities in a fast-paced legal environment
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with legal case management software
- Self-directed and process-driven work style
- Comfortable working with medical terminology and financial information
- Professional demeanor when interacting with attorneys, clients, and medical professionals
- Ability to work full-time in office setting
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English preferred but not required)
