Who You Are

As a Go-to-Market Data Engineer on our Marketing Operations team, you will be the technical powerhouse enabling data-driven marketing initiatives. You will bridge the gap between our data teams and marketing stakeholders, translating data requests into actionable marketing segments and campaigns. Your expertise in data architecture and marketing technology integrations will be crucial in activating our marketing data and maximizing campaign effectiveness. Beyond just data, you'll also be instrumental in automating key marketing processes and ensuring the technical quality of our campaigns. You will be a key player in managing our Customer Data Platform (CDP) and empowering our marketing teams to create highly targeted audiences.

Your Success Profile

What You Will Work On

• Data Activation & Transformation: Expertly translate marketing data requests into actionable segments by developing and executing complex SQL queries and data transformations within our data warehouse.
• Data Pipeline & Integration Management: Build and maintain robust data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow between Snowflake and our marketing technology stack (CRM, marketing automation, CDP), guaranteeing data consistency and accuracy.
• Custom Scripting and Automation Development: Develop and maintain custom scripts to automate data sharing, streamline marketing processes, and extend the functionality of our marketing automation platforms. This includes building bespoke solutions for unique marketing challenges and improving operational efficiency.
• CDP Management & Optimization: Oversee the Customer Data Platform (CDP) to ensure unified customer profiles, maintain data quality and compliance, and resolve any related technical issues.
• Marketing QA Automation: Develop automated tests and monitoring to validate the accuracy and consistency of data flowing through marketing pipelines. Implement automated checks for critical campaign elements like audience segments, personalization, and tracking to ensure the technical reliability of our marketing efforts.
• Data Liaison & Communication: Act as the primary technical interface between data teams and marketing, translating complex data concepts into accessible language and providing training and support on data access and utilization.
• Process Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all relevant data processes and workflows, ensuring clear knowledge transfer and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working in a data or engineering role.
• Proficiency in marketing technology, including marketing automation platforms, customer data platforms, adtech, and enrichment/intelligence tools.
• Experience in maintaining data hygiene and governance.
• Advanced SQL proficiency. Expertise in writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and utilizing diverse SQL functions.
• Knowledge of modeling with dbt and medallion architecture.
• Experience with Python for automation and proficiency in working with APIs for data integration. Experience with API and browser control frameworks a plus.
• Comfort with git and version control.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas), fact/dimension tables, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
• Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes.
• Experience working within a SaaS company a plus.

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $115,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
