About this opportunity... The HR Coordinator, Communications and Engagement is a key member of the team supporting Associate engagement programs, events and initiatives that bring Ross Stores' culture to life in our Corporate and Buying Offices. Assist in creating engaging communications that translate business updates and key Company initiatives into clear and easy-to-understand content. Working closely with the Communications team, you'll gain hands-on experience across internal communications, content creation, event support, and project coordination. Responsibilities include supporting small and large-scale events, assisting with intranet articles and weekly newsletter creation and distribution, contributing to social media and creative projects, and handling ad hoc department needs. The base pay range for this role is $22.00 - $28.00. The hourly rate listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location. What you will do and what you will learn...- Coordinate the weekly Buying Office newsletter, including gathering content, drafting communications, editing, and distributing materials to Associates.
- Support the development of intranet articles and other communication materials in partnership with the Dublin-based Communications team.
- Assist in creating engaging communications that translate business updates and key Company initiatives into clear and easy-to-understand content.
- Assist with the planning and execution of Associate engagement programs, small and large events, and recognition activities.
- Provide support for social media, creative projects, presentations, and other communication initiatives that help strengthen Associate engagement and culture.
- Coordinate ticket requests and logistics for Madison Square Garden (MSG) suite events and other Associate appreciation opportunities.
- Create and update communication materials, including flyers, presentations, digital signage, and event-related content as needed.
- Use company approved AI tools; track AI trends and recommend emerging, responsible, guideline-aligned tools that strengthen content creation and streamline workflows.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed. Provide administrative and project coordination support for team programs, meetings, and special projects.
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Highly self-motivated, resourceful, and enthusiastic with a customer-service mindset. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability in using MS Office tools, (e.g, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a keen attention to detail. Ability to demonstrate these skills through coursework, academic projects, internships, or relevant professional experience.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes, tools, and ways of working, and execute them accurately and consistently.
- Exercises sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion, especially when handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Demonstrates initiative, strong organization skills, and the ability to manage projects and assignments from start to finish.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; able to build trust, work effectively across functions, and support team initiatives in a matrixed environment.
