The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) oversees the overall performance of the sales region. The RSM leads the regional team in qualifying and developing relationships with both current and prospective wholesale customers across various business channels. This position demands strong leadership skills, sales expertise, and business acumen, along with a comprehensive understanding of the food and beverage industry. A passion for coffee and tea is preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall profitable growth and development of the assigned sales region and accounts within the assigned sales region.
Regularly conduct sales prospecting, lead management activities, and sales meetings within the assigned territory to identify and qualify new business opportunities within coffee shops, hotels, multi-unit restaurants, B&I/Offices, and College & University accounts across the sales region.
Identify new growth opportunities within assigned sales regions and maintain profitability.
Direct line management of Business Development Managers (BDM) within the sales region and ensure full delivery of BDM KPI’s
Provide regular inputs for sales pipeline reports and sales forecasting, and work with management to execute sales strategy for the territory.
Lead, develop, and engage a high-performing team by managing hiring, performance, and employee relations while ensuring compliance with policies, safety standards (OSHA), and organizational values.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for Regional Sales Office(s) condition and rental contract support.
Collaborate and leverage the full Intelligentsia team support across Finance, Marketing, Operations, Technical Services, Training, and Customer Support.
Identify growth opportunities with existing business in the assigned region.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3-5+ years sales experience
Knowledge of the designated region and business channels.
Familiarity with sales prospecting methods and tools, as well as sales processes such as CRM and pipeline maintenance.
Strong negotiating skills.
Access to personal vehicle with valid driver’s license and clean driving record. (Mileage reimbursement provided)
Technical aptitude and familiarity with various coffee equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Coffee brewing/barista skills.
CPG/Distribution experience.
Ability to translate information into non-technical language so people of all levels can understand.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work environment is primarily office/remote. Occasionally in cafes or at events.
Up to 20% out-of-office overnight travel. Regular local travel by car/train
Must be able to lift 50lbs, occasionally.
At times, may require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the positions. Occasionally evenings and weekends.

COMPENSATION
To counter pay inequality and uphold internal parity, we are publicizing salary information for this role. This is also required by multiple state laws in which we operate. From a candidate’s perspective, our salary range takes into account a number of factors, including skill sets, experience, education and the training needed for the role. From a company perspective, it includes organizational needs, budgets and internal equity considerations. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of our range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. We are honest and open about our pay and hope that you will be, too, to avoid miscommunication or frustration at the offer stage.
Total Target Compensation: $126,000 - $136,000 annually at 100% commission target attainment.Base Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 annually
Commission: Target commission of $36,000 annually ($3,000 per month) at 100% quota attainment, with accelerators for exceeding quota. Commission is performance-based and not guaranteed.
