Portfolio Manager

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join one of our premiere Asset Management clients and sit onsite in New York City three days per week. This person will be reporting into the Corporate Engineering Division and be leading project standards/governance while advancing PMO best practices across Legal, Compliance, HR, and Risk initiatives and business goals. The Portfolio Manager will oversee a large portfolio of engineering projects across different phases, with rigor and accuracy, while maintaining audit-ready reporting and documentation. This individual will lead cross-functional meetings to proactively keep business stakeholders informed on project progress, development updates, changes, and overall portfolio level roadmap status. This person would dually report into the IT PMO and be responsible for the successful completion of a portfolio of projects that will be annually measured it the project roadmap was achieved and did everything adhere to IT PMO governance.

Skills and Requirements

• 7-10 years of professional experience

• Proficiency in PMO tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet)

• Experience managing very technical project lifecycles

• Demonstrated ability managing a large portfolio of engineering projects (~10-20 at a time) and cross-functional teams

• Exceptional organizational, detail-orientation, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment - PMP or similar certifications

• Financial services or other regulated industry experience

• Background working within an embedded PMO or governance-focused role

• Exposure to audit, risk, or compliance support functions
