Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist – RDMS Registered (Contract)

Location: Elmhurst, NY

Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 35 hours per week | Alternating weekends & holidays required

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) to join our healthcare team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of recent general ultrasound experience in an acute care setting and be able to provide high-quality imaging while ensuring compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to established protocols.

• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to capture accurate images for physician review.

• Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and provide supportive care.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff for optimal patient outcomes.

• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.

• Participate in required training and competency sessions, including EPIC system training.

Qualifications:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by ARDMS (required) .

• Minimum 1 year of general ultrasound experience .

• Acute care setting experience required .

• Strong technical knowledge and ability to work independently.

• Excellent patient care and communication skills.

• Flexibility to work alternating weekends and holidays.

• Must be available for in-person interviews (no virtual option).

Schedule & Compensation:

• Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday with alternating weekends/holidays.

• Hours per Week: 35

• Training: 2 weeks, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (including EPIC training).
