Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse – Pediatrics

Location: Syracuse, NY 13210

Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension)

Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Shift Options:

• Day Shift: 3x12-Hour Shifts | 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Night Shift: 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Includes a 30-minute unpaid break

Compensation:

• Local Pay: $40–$45/hour (based on experience)
• Travel Pay: $48–$51/hour (based on experience)

Note: Travel and housing reimbursements are not provided.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a strong Pediatrics background to provide high-quality patient care in a pediatric healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a patient-centered approach to pediatric nursing care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients under the supervision of an RN or physician
• Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and treatment responses
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Assist with patient assessments and daily care activities
• Educate patients and families regarding treatments, medications, and care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Follow infection control, safety, and pediatric care standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality patient outcomes
• Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and communicate effectively with providers

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatrics LPN experience required
• Active New York State LPN License required
• BLS Certification required
• Strong pediatric patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
