Counter Server

Petee's Pie Company, home of "NYC's Absolute Best Pie" according to New York Magazine, is in search of an energetic, enthusiastic front of house employee / counter person to work at our Brooklyn Cafe. Must have professional barista experience, and be available to work nights, including weekends.

This is a part-time job, requiring the following:

-ability to carry 50 lb up/down stairs

-food handler's certificate (or ability to obtain one quickly)

-ability to work efficiently under pressure and to work late nights without losing steam.

-availability on weekends AND on and around holidays

-ability to work flexibly as part of a team in a fast-paced workplace

-ability to handle feedback constructively

-1+ years of experience in a similar working environment

Responsibilities include:

-assembling and baking pies

-clear communication with coworkers and management

-cleaning tasks such as dishwashing, vacuuming, and mopping

-engaging, informing and serving customers at the front counter

-using a POS system to handle payment

-using an espresso machine to create high quality beverages

Hours and pay:

-You will be expected to work at least one weekend day

-$18/hour base rate plus tips, averaging at least $22 per hour, plus more during holidays

-PT role includes shifts Friday through Sunday, plus additional hours during busy holiday periods

-Must be able to work on and around holidays (especially Thanksgiving and Christmas).
