Our client is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the CEO of a New York City-based political publishing organization. This full-time, on-site role requires discretion, strong judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting a CEO, possess a strong academic background, and has a background in publishing or politics. This individual is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable handling sensitive information. Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive executive support to the CEO, including complex calendar management, scheduling, and meeting coordination
- Act as a strategic gatekeeper, prioritizing requests and managing communications on the CEO’s behalf
- Draft and prepare professional correspondence, briefing materials, and meeting documents
- Manage highly confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion
- Track key deadlines, initiatives, and follow-ups to ensure timely execution
- Assist with special projects, research, and initiatives.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
- Serve as a thoughtful and professional representative of the CEO internally and externally
- 7+ years of experience supporting a CEO or senior executive in a high-level Executive Assistant or Executive Personal Assistant capacity
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred (political science, public affairs, literature, communications, or related field preferred)
- Strong intellectual curiosity and fluency in current events and political affairs.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong command of professional correspondence
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and emotional intelligence
- Must be able to work full-time on-site in New York City
Schedule: Monday through Friday, onsite
