Varsity Track & Field Head Coach

Trevor Day School
New York, NY

Trevor Day School has various athletic teams at the Middle School, Junior Varsity, and Varsity levels. A large percentage of our students participate in interscholastic athletics, an essential part of their Trevor experience and education. We are a member of the New York City Athletic League (NYCAL), which operates within the NYSAIS Athletic Association. Our teams and athletes compete successfully at the league, city, and state levels. Trevor has state-of-the-art athletic facilities, including three gyms and training areas with fitness equipment. We also value our local partnerships with top-level athletic facilities outside of the school.

Trevor’s Athletics program emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and character development. Our coaches are committed educators who teach our student-athletes the importance of collaboration, commitment, and hard work while instilling self-confidence and respect for others. We value competition as an opportunity to challenge ourselves while engaging with the larger community.

We welcome candidates for the Varsity Track & Field Head Coach position for the Winter 2025-2026 season. This part-time, seasonal, stipended position begins October 20th and ends March 7th. Practices generally occur on weekdays; times vary between 3:30 and 7:00 pm, though meets may run beyond that time. Practices are typically held in/near Trevor Day School with meets held at various indoor facilities in the NYC area. On race days, students may depart anytime after 2:00 pm, so coaches should be available that time as well. Coaches are a vital part of the Trevor community, and we encourage them to take advantage of meals on campus, schoolwide events, and other activities.
