Head Chef
Endless Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the back-of-house team and oversee day-to-day kitchen operations at one of our NYC concepts.
We're looking for a hands-on leader who takes pride in running an organized, efficient, and professional kitchen. Our menu and concept are established, so this role is primarily focused on execution, consistency, team management, cost control, and maintaining high operational standards.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, calm under pressure, and able to lead a team with clear expectations and accountability while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day kitchen and BOH operations, ensuring an organized, efficient, and professional work environment
- Lead, train, supervise, and develop the BOH team, establishing clear expectations and accountability
- Ensure consistent execution, quality, portioning, preparation, and presentation of all established menu items
- Create and manage BOH schedules based on business needs while maintaining established labor targets
- Manage food and BOH labor costs within established budgets, identifying opportunities to control costs and reduce waste
- Oversee purchasing, ordering, receiving, inventory, pars, product rotation, and proper storage of food and kitchen supplies
- Maintain appropriate prep levels and kitchen organization to support efficient, high-quality service
- Lead kitchen service and maintain consistent standards during both high- and low-volume periods
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, organization, food safety, and compliance with NYC Department of Health regulations
- Oversee kitchen equipment, promptly identifying and communicating maintenance and repair needs
- Partner closely with the General Manager and FOH management to ensure strong communication and smooth service between the kitchen and dining room
- Assist with BOH hiring, onboarding, performance management, ongoing training, and execution of private events or special services as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, or comparable kitchen leadership role
- Strong experience in a high-volume, quality-driven restaurant environment
- Proven ability to manage and develop a BOH team
- Strong understanding of food cost, labor cost, inventory, ordering, waste management, and kitchen budgeting
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain consistency and standards during high-volume service
- Professional, dependable, and hands-on leadership style
- Ability to lead firmly and fairly while maintaining a respectful workplace
- Comfortable working collaboratively with restaurant management and ownership
- Working knowledge of restaurant management, scheduling, inventory, and ordering systems
- NYC Food Protection Certificate required
- Spanish language proficiency required
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who wants to take ownership of the kitchen and make it run exceptionally well. This position is best suited for a chef who values consistency, organization, accountability, and team development as much as culinary execution.
The right candidate will be present and engaged with their team, able to identify problems before they become larger issues, and comfortable balancing the needs of service with labor, food cost, and operational goals.
Most importantly, we want someone who can build and maintain a strong kitchen culture; one built on professionalism and accountability, but also respect, communication, and teamwork.

- Competitive salary, based on experience
- Paid Time Off
