Customer Service Representative International Shipments
TITLE: Customer Service Representative International Shipments REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma and 2 years of customer service and/or coordination experience (including inventory/vendor coordination/logistics support). SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Spanish is required because a substantial majority of the employers customers and clients are Spanish-speaking, and the position regularly communicates with customers regarding shipments, documentation requirements, delivery status, and issue resolution. Effective performance requires the ability. JOB DUTIES: Assist customers shipping or receiving international cargo, process and track shipment orders, coordinate with operations/logistics/warehouse/billing, and resolve issues related to documentation, delivery times, and customs compliance. Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and/or chat regarding international shipments, rates, delivery timelines, and service options (20%). Explain customs/documentation requirements (e.g., shipper/consignee data, item descriptions, restrictions, destination-country rules) and guide customers to provide accurate information (15%). Process shipment orders: create/update shipment records, enter data into internal systems/tracking platforms, and verify accuracy/completeness (15%). Track shipments and provide updates; resolve issues (delays, customs holds, incomplete information, claims), document cases, and communicate status to customers (20%). Coordinate with logistics, operations, warehouse, and billing teams, and with destination partners/carriers as needed to ensure shipment continuity and timelines (20%). Support business expansion (e.g., new states/routes) by helping update procedures, providing basic training/support to teams in different locations (10%). SALARY: $61,526 per year.
