Shift manager - Children's Program
Under the direction of the Residence Manager, the Shift manager serves as the “in-charge” of the shift during his/her scheduled hours. This includes monitoring of the safety and cleanliness of the living environment, ensuring approved staff/individuals ratios, ensuring compliance with valued results and recreation schedules. this job offer is the liaison between the Residence Manager and Residential Direct Support Professionals. Performs all tasks of Direct Support Professionals as indicated in job description for that position.Starting pay rate $19.20 with increases for education and practice
Responsibilities:
»Ensures staff review Communication Log and memos.
»Ensures that the Staff/Individual Assignment is completed and followed.
»Ensures compliance with staff/individual assignments.
»Ensures staff compliance with approved recreation schedule.
»Ensures supervision of individual at all times.
» supervises and assists with completion of the Behavioral Report Forms in the absence of the RM.
»Ensures consistent active engagement and program implementation that is appropriate and in compliance with individual Res Hab plans and valued results.
»Ensures that staff assist individuals with the completion of routines.
»Ensures that the everyday charge of shift checklist is reviewed and completed.
»Reviews MARS to ensure required completion.
»Supervises and models correct interventions and practices for staff.
»Ensures staffing minimums are met and maintained.
»In the absence of the RM the Shift manager will perform tasks as indicated by Program Administrators (refer to location specific RM standards).
General Requirements:
»A minimum of 12 months satisfactory direct care practice.
»Must demonstrate sound direct care practices and leadership abilities abilities.
»High School Diploma/GED required. Continuation of education in the human service field is encouraged.
»Must be able to acquire and maintain training or qualifications in First Aid, CPR, SCIP-R, Individual Rights, and Overview of people with Developmental Disabilities, PRAISE, Emergency Procedures, Fire Safety, Choking and avoidance of Choking and Aspiration.
»Must be able to acquire and maintain AMAP certification and ADT certification.
»Must be able to acquire and maintain qualifications in the crisis intervention procedure of the agency, and be capable of initiating or assisting in all components of the crisis intervention of the agency at all times
»Must be able to work one weekend day
