The Opportunity
The global capital markets are among the largest markets in the world valued at $50T+ and growing. Transactions in these markets are complex. Critical, nuanced legal terms are woven into lengthy documents. These documents must be digested and analyzed by many different parties over the course of a single transaction and multiple decisions are made based on the terms laid out and quantitative and qualitative attributes within. This fundamental need plus a booming market drives enormous demand for precise extraction and benchmarking of legal terms.
Why We Need You
We're looking to expand our product team to work closely with our data engineering and machine learning research teams. We need someone who can own day-to-day product execution and build new processes to manage cross-team dependencies for a critical part of our value stack. We're seeking someone who can hit the ground running and take ownership of complex technical products.
Here's What You'll Be Doing
Customer Advocacy & Research: Serve as the voice of the customer for data and ML initiatives, conducting user research and translating insights into product requirements
Strategic Planning: Partner with product and engineering leadership to define and maintain technical roadmaps that align with business objectives
Project Leadership: Take full ownership of complex technical projects, driving them from conception to completion with minimal oversight while managing risks and dependencies
Technical Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical constraints, participate in architectural discussions, and write detailed technical specifications
Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and facilitate alignment across cross-functional teams
Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics and user feedback to make informed decisions about product priorities, trade-offs, and resource allocation
Required Qualifications
3+ years of product management experience, preferably with data or ML products
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering practices
Experience writing technical requirements and working closely with engineering teams
Basic knowledge of APIs, databases, and mobile/web technologies
Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Willingness to help out beyond traditional PM responsibilities when needed
Preferred Qualifications
Background in technical roles (engineering, data analysis, etc.) prior to product management
Experience managing products that serve both internal and external users
Familiarity with modern development tools and practices (Git, CI/CD, etc.)
Experience building B2B products
Ability to write SQL queries, basic scripting, LLM prompting
Compensation
The reasonably estimated yearly salary for this role is $140,000-$186,000 USD. You will also be entitled to receive a significant early stage equity package and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.
