Overview:
TalentFish is casting a line for an Azure Cloud Architect ! This is a Direct Hire role located in NYC OR WDC (Remote).

This position exists to design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable, and resilient Azure-based solutions that align with the firm's compliance, risk, and operational objectives. The Azure Cloud Architect will partner with cross-functional teams, Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, Security, and Compliance to ensure the firm's Azure environment meets evolving industry and regulatory standards.

What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)

• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud environments, with at least 4 years focused on Azure cloud architecture

• Expertise in deploying and optimizing Azure services such as networking (VNet, NSG, Azure Firewall), identity (Entra ID), compute (VMs, AVD), and storage (Blob, Disk, Files)

• Strong scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code skills using PowerShell and DevOps pipelines

• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Intune, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust frameworks

• Proven experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred

• Certifications such as:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer

  • CISSP or equivalent

What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)

• Develop and implement Azure cloud infrastructure using automation and Infrastructure-as-Code

• Define and enforce tagging, cost control, IAM, and governance strategies

• Partner with internal teams to support Azure migrations and day-to-day operations

• Guide security implementations including Azure Policy, Key Vault, PIM, and Security Center

• Support incident response, security audits, and cloud risk assessments

• Drive continuous improvement through the evaluation of new Azure services and optimization strategies

• Ensure compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and industry-specific regulations

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $150,000-$200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also offers comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
