Nerai is sophisticated Greek dining in the heart of Midtown, situated in a historic four-story townhouse, that offers a lively bar with beautifully decorated dining and event rooms. Elegantly presented seafood is the focus of the dishes with extraordinary cocktails stripped down to their simple essence. Our polished service team pays attention to each individual guest to make their experience outstanding while inside a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of NYC.

The Back Server position is a pooled-tip service role that works closely with all other front-of-house and back-of-house team members. The Back Server's responsibilities include serving guests in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner to ensure total guest satisfaction and positive representation of the restaurant. Back Waiter's assist in serving and pouring beverages, clearing plates, resetting dining areas and tables with linens, silverware, glassware and supporting the Captain and Food Runners with any additional requests to ensure proper service to the guests.

Individuals should possesses the following qualities :

• Strong communication skills and understanding of English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of table etiquette and fine dining service .
• Have long term goals in the service industry.
• A focus on hospitality and teamwork to build relations with co-workers and clientele.
• Proud and methodical attention to detail.

Position requirements include :

• 2 years of Strong New York City fine dining experience.
• Willingness to learn and participate in food knowledge training.
• Must be available for lunc hes and dinners and to work on weekends.
• Able to take direction and complete tasks
• Effective time, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Willingness to learn and improve oneself in wine, food, and service knowledge
• Pleasant and positive work ethic and demeanor
• Clear writing and oral communication skills
• Ability to work within a very fast-paced team-oriented environment
• Ability to engage guests or team members in a professional and dignified manner.
• Impeccable personal grooming habits
• Be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
