Cosme is seeking an Executive Pastry Chef to lead and elevate our acclaimed pastry program. This role offers the unique opportunity to partner closely with the Cosme Brand Director to innovate, develop, and evolve the pastry department as part of the restaurant's overall brand vision. From seasonal menu development to long-term creative direction, the Executive Pastry Chef will help shape the future of Cosme's pastry program while delivering exceptional desserts rooted in craftsmanship, creativity, and Mexican heritage.

This is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in New York City. The Executive Pastry Chef will oversee all aspects of the pastry department, including menu development, recipe creation, pastry production, inventory management, ordering, scheduling, and team development. This role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Executive Pastry Chef will also work closely with the culinary leadership team to develop seasonal offerings, mentor the pastry team, uphold food safety and sanitation standards, and create memorable guest experiences through thoughtful and innovative pastry creations.

• 4+ years of experience in a leadership role within a high-volume, fine dining pastry kitchen.
• Demonstrated expertise in baking, pastry production, breads, desserts, and modern pastry techniques.
• Strong culinary skills with a passion for creativity, seasonal ingredients, and exceptional presentation.
• Proven experience leading, training, scheduling, and developing pastry teams.
• Thorough understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, inventory management, and kitchen organization.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency, organization, and attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.
• Culinary or Pastry Arts degree, or equivalent professional training and experience, preferred.
• English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus.

Salary: $90,000–$95,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
