TTRO Regulatory Reporting- Director
Trade Transaction Reporting Operations (TTRO) within Operations Risk and Regulatory Control (ORRC) has the responsibility for ensuring that Morgan Stanley fulfils its reporting obligations in a timely and accurate manner for specific jurisdictions by partnering with teams across Operations, Tech and Data and Legal and Compliance. TTRO comprises primarily of Operations Run the Bank (RTB) and Change the Bank (CTB) teams and Transaction Reporting IT teams.
The primary responsibility will be to drive down Regulatory Risk by supporting the implementation of new regulatory requirements, monitoring existing controls to assess the risk and remediate it as necessary, ensuring smooth BAU functioning as part of exception management process, which includes, understanding and resolving internal & DTCC rejections and thereby improving and maintaining firm's overall reporting accuracy.
The successful candidate will join the TRRO Run The Bank (RTB) team for North America jurisdictions for OTC derivatives (CFTC, SEC, CSA), working with global colleagues across Business Units, Legal and Compliance, Operations and Technology to deliver Trade and Transaction Reporting requirements.
What will you be doing:
Daily monitoring & investigation of breaks and exceptions across various internal controls.
Resolving reporting issues via manual remediation of reported attributes
Transformation and automation of existing processing leveraging AI, Alteryx, Power Apps
Work with cross division stakeholders (TTRO, Trade Support, Technology & Business Unit) to investigate the potential reporting issues and their root cause.
Raising JIRAs for issues identified & getting them prioritized for delivery with CTB and Tech partners.
Review the existing reporting processes and control framework to identify enhancements and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Identify and deliver necessary reporting process change to maintain compliance with an evolving regulatory reporting and business change environment.
Participating in ISDA and other Industry forums to understand and track the discussions and do follow ups with internal stakeholder as needed.
Training new joiners/juniors in the team as and when required
Reviewing the change solutions and testing evidence
Skills Required:
7-10 years of experience in regulatory reporting will be preferred with knowledge of regulations related to Dodd Frank Act
Product knowledge on OTC Derivatives
Strong analytic and problem solving/process improvement skills including knowledge of SQL.
Ability to learn quickly and solve vaguely defined problems.
Ability to develop strong relationships and personal credibility with stakeholders and understand their needs and requirements
Ability to excel in an environment of ambiguity by quickly adapting behaviour and work methods to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Working experience with AI, Alteryx, Power Apps, SQL is a plus
Knowledge Desired:
Strong product knowledge on OTC Derivatives (e.g. FX, Commodities, Equity, Credit and Interest Rates
Strong Functional knowledge trade life cycle
Strong experience in MS Office (Excel, Power Point etc)
Working knowledge & experience of data analytics tool such as PowerBI, SQL, Python is preferred

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $82,000 and $133,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
