Software engineer
Software Engineer (REQ #386) position available with Moment Technology Inc. in New York City, NY. Anticipated salary for the position: $135,000 - $240,000 per year; full-time. Responsibilities: Design and develop software products and features for customers in the Financial Services industry. Build ETL pipelines to sync raw, wholesale fixed income data from our vendors into our internal system. Improve the speed and scalability of data platform. Build out new FIX connectivity to venues and dealers to access additional liquidity for customers. Add new features to our market connectivity platform, such as: adding additional flexibility for conforming to venues' technical specifications; supporting new trading protocols in conjunction with our trading team; and maintain front-end interfaces to make it easy to configure specific instances of the market connectivity service. Build features to support our trading simulator, such as: new trading protocols and realistic market data simulation. Onboard new hires by providing them with business context and leveraging their past experience to guide technical decisions by more junior members of the team. The position requires a Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. The position also requires two (2) years of experience in job offered or a computer-related role. Professional and/or academic experience must include: Developing and maintaining infrastructure for querying fixed income securities; Relational databases and SQL; Software development tools: Code editors (VIM), and revision control systems (Subversion and GIT); Linux; Build highly-scalable performant solutions; and Data structures and algorithms.
