Office Manager

The New York Musician's Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the schedules and accounts for our 700 students. NO MUSIC EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. This is a great position for someone reliable, results-driven, and looking for a long term company to have a career with. As a true partner to the organization's CEO, the manager is responsible for problem solving with customers and overseeing the administrative team in providing our customers with a visibly enhanced service experience. Schedule:

40 hours/week. Entry position includes Monday- Wednesday 9-5pm and Thursday and Fridays 12-8pm.

Office Manager will oversee student schedule, teacher's schedule, administrative duties and other tasks including (not limited to):

  • Hiring of Teachers & Office Staff and training
  • Phone Sales Signing Up People who are interested in our service
  • Scheduling
  • Accounts Receivable (will train)
  • Developing interpersonal relationships with students, parents, and faculty
  • Managing student and teacher schedules, and upcoming events such as recitals
  • Answering phone calls, emails and walk-in inquiries from prospective students
  • Planning and executing high quality company events
  • Oversight of teacher and student schedules
  • Oversight of inventory, media, and payroll
  • Perform other related duties as required

Professional Experience 2-3 years of Experience

  • Sales or hospitality experience (even if in retail or food)
  • Providing quality customer service via phone and in person
  • Collaborative and independent work environments

Other Skills

  • Proficiency in Google Drive, Word, Excel,
  • Strong organization, planning and analytical skills
  • Initiative and ability to work
  • Excellent written and verbal skills

The New York Musician's Center offers private and group instruction in a variety of instruments for students of all ages.

  • Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)

Administrative Duties:

  • Scheduling
  • Running errands
  • Stocking supplies
  • Sorting and sending mail
  • Answering and routing phone calls
  • Greeting visitors

Financial Duties:

  • Billing
