Job Title: Licensing & Collaborations Manager Division: Corporate
Reports to: Senior Director Licensing & Corp Partnerships
Position Overview:
The Licensing & Collaborations Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of our partnerships, including relationship development, approval processes and ensuring compliance with partnership agreements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of intellectual property rights, licensing industry knowledge, and a proven track record of driving revenue through successful licensing and collaboration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Licensing Partnerships: Oversee all aspects of licensed process, including Licensor portal management, sample requirements, and act as day-to-day contact with Licensors teams. Manage and monitor product and marketing approvals process cross functionally for multiple projects at a time. Operate as support for external relations, providing partners with information to build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships.
- Contract Management & Compliance: Ensure product compliance and approvals, working across various Licensor portals. Assist in ensuring that we are on track for all partnership renewals and royalty reporting.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including design, product development, and marketing, to ensure successful execution of licensing initiatives. Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on licensing-related matters.
- Brand Management: Ensure that all licensed products adhere to brand standards and guidelines. Monitor product quality and brand integrity to protect the company's reputation and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences. Partner with Senior Director to use market insights to inform business strategies and identify new partnership opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in licensing, brand management, or related field, preferably in the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of licensing approvals processes and compliance
- Ability to clearly communicate externally and internally and keep organized records Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with licensors and internal stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive licensing strategies.
- Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Experience in managing timelines both internally and externally.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in financial analysis and contract management.
- Knowledge of intellectual property rights, licensing laws, and industry best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
