Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses for a travel contract assignment. This opportunity is ideal for OR nurses with strong scrub and circulating experience who thrive in fast-paced surgical environments and are confident providing perioperative patient care.

The RN – Operating Room will support surgical teams through all phases of operative care, including patient assessment, IV insertion, conscious sedation monitoring, sterile field management, and intraoperative nursing support while ensuring patient safety and adherence to hospital standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for surgical patients
• Perform scrub and circulating duties during surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams throughout operative cases
• Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, and medication administration
• Monitor patients receiving conscious sedation and respond appropriately
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection prevention standards
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, and supplies
• Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after surgery
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with hospital safety and surgical protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of scrub and circulating experience required
• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience required
• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program required
• Strong perioperative nursing and critical thinking skills required
