[Fall 2025] Advancement - Corporate Partnerships & Events Internship

The Whitney’s Academic Year Internship program offers a semester-long paid internship for undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited academic program. The internship is hybrid, with some onsite work. For Fall 2025, interns commit between 16–21 hours per week over 10–12 weeks for a total of 200 hours. Interns are assigned to a specific department at the Museum for the duration of the internship. The Whitney seeks an Advancement: Corporate Partnerships and Events intern for the Fall 2025 semester.

Expected Projects & Assignments
  • Supporting the Corporate Membership program through
    • Assembling Renewal and Welcome Packets
    • Processing gifts through RE
  • Prospect research for Corporate Membership & Sponsorship
  • Rental Program (taking inquiries, assist with scheduling, update rental documents, etc.)
  • Assist department with administrative tasks (invoices, event list collection, filing, processing payments, etc.)
  • On-site assistance with events (events may include internal, external, and fundraising events)
  • Additional Research Tasks as needed
Skills & Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Research skills
  • Google forms
  • Undergraduates and graduates currently enrolled in accredited academic year programs are eligible
  • Applicants must have completed a minimum of one year’s worth of academic coursework; undergraduate freshmen are not eligible
  • While a demonstrated interest in art and art history is preferred, students in all majors are encouraged to apply
  • Previous museum experience is not required
Provided Training
  • Raiser’s Edge
  • Corporate events – assist with inquiries, budgets, catering and rentals
  • Exhibition openings – list collection from all museum departments, reports
Outcomes
  • Gain insight into the Museum’s Corporate Partnership and Events program through experience assisting the Corporate Partnerships and Events team.
  • Gain valuable knowledge of Museum fundraising, and learn about the role Corporate Partnerships and Events plays in the Whitney’s Advancement department.
  • Serve as a stepping stone in their arts career path that allows them to progress intelligently towards their career goals.


Compensation
Interns will be paid a stipend of $3000.
