Overview
Registered Nurse – PCU in a mixed-acuity unit (PCU/MS Tele) with surgical pre/post care, in a hospital setting located in Potsdam, NY. Start date 06/01/2026 for a travel temporary assignment lasting several weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,086 to $2,174 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Eligible to work in New York with required RN licensure in hand. Unit uses EPIC for charting and supports telemetry, post-op care, and overflow medical diagnoses.

Responsibilities
- Provide telemetry-enabled nursing care for a mixed-acuity PCU/ MS Tele unit and surgical pre/post patients, with possible pediatric cases limiting traveler assignment.
- Interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac monitoring, including titration of cardiac drips and insulin protocols as applicable.
- Perform central line/PICC/port care and blood product administration; manage IV therapy and med administration via Pyxis.
- Support respiratory care needs, including HFNC, non-invasive ventilation, tracheostomy care, and chest tube care when appropriate.
- Assist with post-operative and ortho/surgical patient needs; apply wound care, wound VAC, CBI, feeding tube management, and routine nursing care with charting in EPIC.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand to submit
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; PALS and TCAR preferred
- Experience: minimum 1 year RN experience; PCU/IMC (step-down) experience within the last 3 years
- Travel experience: first-timers accepted
- Ability to work in a mixed-acuity PCU/step-down setting and to float to sister units as needed
- Documentation: EPIC experience required; familiarity with Pyxis and SBAR

Benefits and Support

- Orientation: 12-hour orientation prior to start
- Scheduling: weekend requirements; every other weekend
- RTO: 7 days maximum
