Porter
Red Hook Tavern is a Michelin-recognized neighborhood restaurant known for exceptional hospitality, strong culinary execution, and a collaborative team culture. We are looking for a hardworking and dependable Porter who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a professional restaurant team. Responsibilities • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all back-of-house and front-of-house areas• Clean, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, and kitchen equipment
• Remove trash and recycling and maintain clean waste storage areas
• Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors throughout the restaurant
• Wash and disinfect work surfaces, walls, equipment, and other restaurant fixtures
• Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and restroom essentials as needed
• Assist with deep cleaning projects throughout the restaurant, including dining areas, kitchen spaces, restrooms, storage areas, and exterior spaces
• Support kitchen and service teams with cleanliness and organizational needs
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards

• Training and development opportunities Requirements • Prior experience in a restaurant, hospitality, janitorial, custodial, or similar role is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
