Position Description:
The Genesee Valley BOCES Board of Education seeks a visionary and entrepreneurial leader in their next District Superintendent who is deeply committed to student success. This outstanding educator will demonstrate clear accomplishments bringing together a community, including businesses and educators, in a shared vision of excellence and innovation. They will be an exceptional communicator, and an advocate for students at local, regional, and state levels. The candidate’s authentic and personal commitment will support the climate and culture of Genesee Valley BOCES, and grow its partnerships with our 22 component school districts. Ideal candidates will have substantial leadership experience working in both BOCES and component district settings, but all qualified candidates with an outstanding career record leading faculty, staff, and community are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:
Depending upon a candidate’s background and experience, the Board is prepared to offer a 3-year contract with a salary up to the present salary cap of $208,250. and a highly competitive benefit package. Prospective candidates should note that benefits for District Superintendent roles have improved through NYS Education Commissioner’s Regulation 124.1, and candidates are encouraged to discuss these changes with Dr. David O’Rourke, our search consultant.

Salary Range:
3-year contract with a salary up to the present salary cap of $208,250.
