PROSPERAR at SUNY Orange has provided our college community with a wonderful opportunity to accelerate and amplify our Guided Pathways/SOEX work with targeted strategies identified to increase the support and success of all students, and particularly our growing Hispanic student population.
The PROSPERAR Academic Data Analyst will work with college faculty and staff to develop effective and accurate data retrieval strategies and produce reports to support future planning and data-informed decision making for the college. The PROSPERAR Academic Data Analyst will collaborate across departments to provide easy-to-access information to improve quality efforts of course instruction and student learning strategies. In collaboration with the PROSPERAR Instructional Designer, the PROSPERAR Academic Data Analyst will teach faculty and staff how to use data to improve student learning results and overall student success.
General Requirements:
Education Required: Bachelor's degree or higher in a Social or Behavioral Science, Education, or Statistics.
practice Required: Two (2) years of practice in data collection, management, and analysis. Two (2) or more years of practice in Social or Behavioral Science Education, or Statistics.
Preferred expertise, expertise, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
» practice creating analysis reports with Cognos, Tableau, Google Apps, Microsoft Excel or other reporting tools.
» practice in generating reports used for analyzing performance and informed decision making.
» practice in research and survey design and presentation of research results to a variety of audiences.
» practice in Educational Technology.
»Proficiency with statistical software, word processing, and spreadsheets.
»Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and college administration.
»Bilingual; Spanish.

income: $50,208 - $66,525 per annum, commensurate with practice and grant funding.
This is a Staff & Chair, Grade 50, 12 month position.
