Full Time Qualified Childcare Workers: Head Teachers Infants to Preschool
Job Description:
Learn and Play Childcare in Mineola is seeking dedicated and passionate Full-Time Head Teachers to join our team. As a Head Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children. You will lead a team of childcare workers who will be working in your classroom, develop and implement age-appropriate curricula, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curricula and activities.
- Lead and supervise a team of childcare workers, providing guidance and support.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Ensure compliance with OCFS (Office of Children and Family Services) regulations.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians.
- Monitor children's progress and development.
- Manage classroom supplies and resources effectively.
Qualifications:
- Must have completed a CDA (Child Development Associate) or a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Psychology, Sociology, or Education.
- Strong understanding of OCFS regulations and requirements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Passionate about early childhood education and child development.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
Flexible hours: Full-time hours available
