Job Title: Dietetic Technician
Location: New York, NY 10032
Contract Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Evening Shift | 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Job Summary
A leading healthcare facility in New York City is seeking an experienced Dietetic Technician for an 8-week contract assignment. The selected candidate will support daily nutrition services operations, assist with dietary management, and help ensure accurate coordination of patient nutritional needs within a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation and management of patient nutrition plans
- Support feeding management systems and dietary documentation
- Coordinate with clinical and dietary teams regarding patient nutritional needs
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and compliance standards
- Utilize electronic systems and Microsoft Office applications for documentation and tracking
- Ensure accuracy in nutritional calculations and meal preparation support
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, patients, and families
- Support overall nutrition services workflow within the hospital environment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s Degree required
- Minimum 2 years of hospital nutrition-related experience OR enrollment in an approved nutrition education program
- Active Food Safety Certification required at submission
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic feeding management systems
- Strong mathematical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Student or background in Nutrition or related healthcare field preferred
