Junior Service Line Cook
The Junior Service Line Cook at Joji is responsible for preparing and presenting guests with hot and cold appetizers and other menu creations to the exact specifications of the restaurant’s recipes and procedures, ensuring a unique and memorable dining experience.
We are seeking professional cooks with 2+ years of fine dining experience . Experience in a Japanese restaurant is a plus.
Responsibilities
Prepare appetizer courses with precision and consistency.
Plate, garnish, and present dishes according to restaurant standards.
Follow recipes and team processes to meet time and quality standards.
Maintain food safety standards at all times, including proper storage, PPE use, and maintaining correct rice pH.
Ensure correct temperatures are met and maintained.
Adhere to all cleaning procedures and best hygiene practices, including thoroughly cleaning your station at the end of each shift.
Collaborate effectively and respectfully with all team members.
Communicate with management regarding any equipment or quality issues.
Minimize inventory waste whenever possible.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills, Abilities, and Experience
1+ years of experience in a fine dining environment (2+ years preferred).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Warm, professional, and guest-focused demeanor.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
