Merchandiser

Our client, a luxury homeware brand , is hiring a Temporary Merchandiser to join the team in New York . The ideal candidate is an organized and motivated professional with strong communication and customer service skills.

This is a temporary position that runs from Friday, November 28th, through December 23rd with 25 -30 hours per weekend. Candidates must be able to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Duties Include:

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of luxury products, collections, and brand heritage to assist clients and enhance storytelling during the sales process confidently.
• Assist with retail operations such as stock organization, visual merchandising, gift wrapping and moving product to the sales floor.
• Partner closely with sales associates and management to deliver flawless client experiences, maintain showroom presentation, and support exclusive events or client appointments.
• Coordinate and execute in-store visual merchandising plans to ensure brand standards are maintained and product displays are engaging and on strategy.
• Monitor inventory levels, track sell-through performance, and collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement and stock replenishment.
• Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising execution, gather market insights, and provide feedback to improve presentation and sales performance.
• Additional duties as needed.

Job Qualifications Include:

• 3+ years of retail experience, preferably in a luxury environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in CRM and POS systems.
• Professional, polished demeanor with a passion for luxury, client service excellence, and a commitment to maintaining brand standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for duration of shift.

Attire: Professional and elegant, but not too formal

Salary: $30/hr
