Call Representative Customer Service - INTERNSHIP

**Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc** is seeking a compassionate and professional individual to join our team as a **Customer Service Representative (Internship)**. As the first point of contact, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients, their families, and healthcare professionals receive a warm, empathetic, and efficient response. This **Part-Time** internship is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain meaningful experience in a healthcare environment, providing vital support to our community. The position is based in **United States**. Salary: **$26 - $35 USD per hour** Responsibilities- Answer inbound telephone calls with a high degree of professionalism, empathy, and compassion.
- Provide accurate and clear information regarding our hospice and palliative care services.
- Listen attentively to the needs of callers, who may be in emotionally sensitive situations.
- Direct enquiries and messages to the appropriate clinical staff, departments, or external partners.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with the utmost discretion.
- Accurately document call details and relevant information in our internal systems.
- Support the administrative team with general tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a relevant programme of study.
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a clear and compassionate telephone manner.
- A profound sense of empathy and the ability to remain calm and professional during difficult conversations.
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience in customer service or a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential.
