PlugPV is a turnkey residential and commercial solar energy provider. We are a small, high-impact team dedicated to the deployment of solar electric systems for homeowners and small businesses throughout New York State. The Company is the result of years of experience in the national solar space, with renewed focus on regional operating efficiencies at the local level. PlugPV is fun! We are excited to work together with one another, with industry stakeholders, and with customers to educate, promote, design, sell, install, and service residential and commercial solar. The Position

The field operations manager will oversee and manage the relationship with Build Partners to drive timelines around installation and inspections. In this role, you will oversee third-party build partners, manage project timelines from installation through inspection, and ensure seamless coordination across departments. As a key player in the field ops team, you'll work closely with the Director of Field Operations to drive on-time, high-quality solar installations that exceed customer expectations.

Strategic & Tactical Responsibilities

? Oversee Build Partners: Manage relationships with subcontracted build partners, ensuring work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to company standards.

? Project Timeline Management: Monitor and drive project schedules from install kickoff through final inspection, identifying and mitigating potential delays.

? Cross-Department Coordination: Serve as the liaison between field teams and internal departments such as Design, Permitting, Project Management, Customer Experience, and Sales to ensure project milestones are met.

? Field Issue Resolution: Act as a point of escalation for field-related issues, providing quick and effective solutions to keep projects on track.

? Support scheduling and cross-functional support between PlugPV, Build Partners, and Project Managers

? Reporting & Metrics: Track KPIs, generate reports, and provide regular updates to the Director of Field Operations on build partner performance, inspection timelines, and overall field operations efficiency.

? Process Improvement: Collaborate on developing and refining operational processes and SOPs to improve consistency, quality, and scalability.

Qualifications:

? 3-5+ years of field operations or project management experience, ideally in the solar or construction industry.

? Strong understanding of solar installation workflows and AHJ inspection processes.

? Experience managing subcontractors or external build teams.

? Excellent communication and organizational skills.

? Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

? Proficient in project management tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, Smartsheet).

? OSHA certification and/or NABCEP credentials a plus.

? Experience with Solar PV and storage installation practices as related to various NEC code requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
