Position: Temporary Housekeeper (Live-In or Live-Out)
Schedule: Â Monday -Â Saturday | 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (42 hours per week)
Compensation:

• $45/hour

Local: Local live-out candidate preferred but open to Live-In Candidates who go home for day off: Client-paid transportation (Jitney or train)
Start Date: June 27th, 2026Â Through September 7th or September 14th, 2026

About the Family

A warm and welcoming family of four in Sagaponack, Southampton, is seeking an experienced and formal Housekeeper to support their busy summer household. The family frequently entertains guests on weekends and values professionalism, discretion, and a team-oriented attitude. This position works closely alongside the family's live-in housekeeper to ensure the home runs smoothly and remains beautifully maintained.

Children: 2

Pets: 2 small dogs (must be pet-friendly; daughter also has cats)

Household Staff: Live-In Housekeeper, Chef (Thursday-Sunday), Family Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed housekeeping and deep cleaning throughout the residence
• Handle laundry and ironing with confidence and attention to detail
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the home, including common areas, bathrooms, and bedrooms
• Pick up after family members and weekend guests throughout the day
• Assist with meal service and kitchen clean-up when needed
• Keep the pool house, pool area, and outdoor spaces tidy and organized
• Disinfect bathrooms, kitchen counters, floors, and vanities
• Sweep and maintain porches and terraces
• Monitor household inventory and notify the Family Assistant when supplies need to be replenished
• Answer household phone calls and take messages when necessary
• Assist with additional tasks as requested
• Maintain a calm, pleasant demeanor and work professionally with other staff members

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of housekeeping, deep cleaning, laundry, and ironing
• Previous experience working in high-end private homes
• Ability to work independently and proactively without constant direction
• Previous live-in experience required
• Knowledge of proper cleaning products and their use on various surfaces
• Trustworthy, discreet, and exceptionally detail-oriented
• Comfortable around dogs and cats
• Hands-on, hardworking, and reliable
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• High energy with the ability to thrive in an active household environment
• Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills; not overly chatty and able to maintain confidentiality and harmony among household staff
