Job Title: Nurse Practitioner
Location: Syracuse, NY
Job Type: Contract (14 Weeks)
Schedule:
- 40 Hours/Week
- Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Overview: We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care/inpatient setting. Oncology experience is highly preferred. The role involves collaborating with physicians, performing patient assessments, and ensuring comprehensive and compliant clinical care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with physicians to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Accurately document evaluations, assessments, and treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and care plans
- Utilize prescriptive authority in collaboration with physicians
- Deliver care with minimal supervision in an inpatient setting
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
- Support continuity of care and interdisciplinary communication
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience
- Active New York State Nurse Practitioner License/Registration
- NP specialty certification aligned with practice area
- CPR and ACLS certifications required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete pre-employment health clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior inpatient experience
- Oncology experience
