Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Certified Nursing Assistant - SNF. You will be working under direct supervision of a licensed Nurse or other professional medical staff in a health care setting, performs a variety of clerical and health-related duties associated with patient care; performs related work.
Job Description
- Assists with physical care of selected patients. Perform assigned procedures such as changing simple dressings, taking vital signs, giving enemas, etc. Records of personal care given.
- Prepares patient for examination by performing assigned procedures such as temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight and measurements, and assists in the examination process and records findings on patient chart.
- Observes patients’ and/or families’ condition, mental state and social behavior. Reports observations.
- Participates in nursing and interdisciplinary health team conferences to assess patients’ and families’ needs and to plan nursing care programs.
- Assists in recreational, demotivational and resocialization activities of nursing care programs.
- Set up and arrange the examining room.
- Assists clinic in admission procedures and in regulation of visitors. Cares for patients’ clothing and property.
- Prepares patients for meals and helps feed them as necessary.
- Changes linen and makes beds. Keeps wards, utility and treatment rooms are in a neat and orderly condition.
- Provides post-mortem care.
Skills Required
- 1 year of recent Nursing Home experience
Education/Training/Certifications
- Graduate of an approved CNA program
- Certified Nurse Aide through Nurse Aide Registry (Prometrics)
- NYS CNA Certification with Primary Source Verification
- AHA BLS
Additional Requirements
- Shift Time: Evening Weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) 11:15 PM - 7:15 AM.
- Staten Island residents highly preferred.
- This is a part-time position
Pay Rate
- $35.00 per hour
