Civil Engineer – Site Design (2+ Years Experience)
Location: Saratoga Springs, NY
We are a growing civil engineering firm seeking a motivated Civil Engineer with 2+ years of experience in land development and site design to join our Saratoga Springs team. This role offers hands-on project involvement, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Prepare civil site design plans including grading, drainage, utilities, erosion & sediment control, and roadway layouts
- Assist with site feasibility studies, reports, and permit applications
- Perform stormwater management and hydrology calculations
- Coordinate with project managers, surveyors, and other design disciplines
- Support municipal submissions and respond to agency comments
- Assist with construction phase services as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience in civil site/land development design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Familiarity with NYS codes, local municipal standards, and permitting processes
- EIT certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Strong communication and organizational skills
