Your impact

Jacobs Civil Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Design Architecture Professional Intermediate for the New York, NY office. In this role, you will:

Research, program, plan, and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, codes and systems.

• Utilize computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project documentation.

• Responsible for the technical development of the design, and coordination of the set.

• Develop and present project technical solutions with direction from the Senior Project Architect.

• Understand and produce area calculations for building program, code, zoning.

• Work with the Senior Project Architect and project team in preparing drawings for all phases of a project.

• Prepare 3D visualizations and material renderings investigating design massing and material options for client selection.

• Support Advanced Facility buildings projects including Life Science projects.

• Lead the design of multiple buildings simultaneously on a campus with oversight from the Senior Project Architect and Project Manager.

Here's what you'll need

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture or related field and 4 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in Architecture.

As an alternative, employer will accept: a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture or related field and 6 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in Architecture.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Expertise/knowledge of:

•3D documentation platforms: Autodesk Revit (BIM), AutoCAD, Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Navisworks, Google Suite Apps, Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel.

• Project experience utilized in practice for 3D visualizations using the following platforms: Rhino, Sketch-up, Maya.

• Rendering tool experience utilized on previous project experience: Enscape, Vray.

• Bluebeam Revu and Bluebeam Studio Session with experience coordinating multidiscipline review sessions and quality reviews.

• Prepare and deliver client presentations utilizing PowerPoint.

• Perform code review with IBC, IECC, NFPA, ADA.

• Maintain Decision Matrix Trackers to organize architecture open issues that documents cross discipline and client issues along with design direction.

• Support Advanced Facility buildings /Life Science projects.

• Lead the design of multiple buildings simultaneously on a campus.

88,899.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

132,950.00

The base salary range for this position is $88,899.00 to $132,950.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
