Paralegal
Our client is a commercial litigation firm seeking an experienced Paralegal to support their team of attorneys. This role involves substantive legal work including research, document drafting, and case management for complex litigation matters.
You'll work closely with partners and associates to prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials while managing case files and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other databases
- Draft and revise legal documents including motions, briefs, and discovery requests
- Organize and manage case files, exhibits, and evidence
- Prepare attorneys for depositions, hearings, and trials
- Coordinate with courts, clients, and opposing counsel on case matters
- Review and summarize documents during discovery
- Maintain case calendars and track filing deadlines
- Assist with e-discovery and document review platforms
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in a litigation practice
- Paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree required
- Proficiency in Westlaw, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with e-discovery tools and document management systems
- Strong legal writing and research skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
- Notary public certification is a plus
