Nanny Position

Location: Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY
Compensation: $30
Commitment Level: Part-time
Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 12:30pm–6:30pm
Start Date: Early September 2026

Position Overview

A Park Slope family is seeking an experienced, energetic part-time Nanny for their three-year-old daughter. Beginning this September, their daughter will attend school full-time, and the family is looking for a dependable caregiver to take over from the afternoon pick-up through the evening routine.

The role centers on school pick-ups, after-school activities, and the child's daily care — including meal preparation, laundry, and keeping her rooms and play spaces organized. The family is looking for someone who can offer occasional full-day coverage when school is not in session, and who is open to additional paid hours for light household work beyond the core childcare scope.

Their daughter is outgoing and full of energy, and the family is hoping to find a nanny with specific toddler experience who can keep her genuinely engaged. Familiarity with the Park Slope area and its surrounding neighborhoods is a plus.

Responsibilities

Childcare

• Provide attentive, engaged care for a three-year-old
• Handle daily school pick-ups and transportation to and from activities
• Accompany and support the child at after-school activities and enrichment
• Plan and lead age-appropriate, active play and developmental activities
• Support daily routines, transitions, and the evening schedule
• Communicate updates and daily reports to parents
• Provide full-day coverage on days when school is not in session, as needed

Child-Related Household

• Prepare the child's meals and snacks
• Manage the child's laundry
• Clean and organize the child's bedroom, play spaces, and belongings

Requirements

• Prior professional experience caring for toddlers, with a demonstrated ability to keep an active, energetic child engaged
• Familiarity with Park Slope and surrounding Brooklyn neighborhoods preferred
• Comfortable with daily transportation duties including school pick-ups and activity runs
• Flexibility to extend hours on days when school is not in session
• Strong communication skills and reliability
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
