Vice President (Parental Leave Coverage)

Overview:

Align Social Impact is seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated temporary Vice President to join the New York team's growing social impact practice immediately, supporting parental leave coverage. Align is a full-service strategy and impact agency at the nexus of storytelling, research, culture, philanthropy, and systems change, and we specialize in serving brand, nonprofit, talent and foundation clients worldwide to accelerate their impact in ways that can be felt and measured. The Vice President will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction for Align’s best-in-class clients and supporting the company's sustainable growth. The Vice President will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategies that support Align’s mission of driving community, business, and social outcomes. Additionally, you will oversee a range of client and account divisions as well as firm-wide initiatives to ensure impact in ways that can be felt and measured.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Align’s executive team to develop and execute the organization's strategic planning.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and hands-on implementation support to department heads, ensuring effective communication and coordination across teams and clients.
  • Oversee the implementation of key initiatives and projects, monitoring progress and ensuring timely completion.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and funders.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to drive growth and expand Align’s impact.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices, providing insights and recommendations to inform organizational strategies.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to support the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the Align team.
  • Represent Align at conferences, events, and other public forums where necessary.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role (10+ years), with a track record of driving organizational growth and success, preferably in the nonprofit and/or social impact sector.
  • Past agency experience required.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of the social impact sector and familiarity with current trends and best practices.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of organizational work.

More Details:

  • Reports to CEO.
  • Minimum five days per month in the NYC office required.
  • Full-time, temporary position (5-month initial commitment)
  • Some weekend travel required; mandatory travel dates March 19-30, 2026
  • Salary to be commensurate with experience — range $130,000-150,000.00
  • Must be authorized for immediate employment in the United States.
